Song Wei Yun started the match with the kick off. Felipe Barreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Bennvar Noobel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samuel Griffin hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, Song Wei Yun dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wilson Amorim, 1-0. Portugal's Felipe Barreto got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute Felipe Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bennvar Noobel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harry Potter's late challenge caught a Portugal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harry Potter helped the player get up and apologised. Bennvar Noobel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viriato Moura's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. The audience was convinced that Viriato Moura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bennvar Noobel was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Bennvar Noobel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 25th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Daniel Pimentel got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute, Fernando Negro made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Bennvar Noobel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. Portugal's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fernando Negro 41 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1. Wilson Amorim made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Fernando Negro sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Viriato Moura was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Portugal's Felipe Barreto made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bennvar Noobel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Seraċini Għawdxin's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Felipe Barreto scored to the left of an out of position Bennvar Noobel, making the score, 3-3. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Song Wei Yun in the 62nd minute of play. In the 68th minute Fernando Negro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bennvar Noobel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute, Felipe Barreto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. 79 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Griffin came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Song Wei Yun scored 4-4 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Song Wei Yun in the 83rd minute of play. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Negro in the 84th minute of play. In the 85thth minute of the game Song Wei Yun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portugal's Wilson Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Griffin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Bastos hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. 5-4 came in the 95th minute when Neil Degabriele all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim.
