ФК Фанагория's Petar Burnazov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Metod Mlynar in the 14th minute of play. Slovakia's Henrich Slany proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Slovakia from getting a goal against them. Henrich Slany was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Kostadin Punev capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kostadin Punev really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When Neycho Kalinkov fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ФК Фанагория's protests and gave Neycho Kalinkov a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th match minute, ФК Фанагория was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neycho Kalinkov to maneuver through the defense. Slovakia's Henrich Slany played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gencho Irmanov in the 22nd minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Slovakia's Metod Mlynar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Petar Burnazov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Slovakia's zone, Rangel Dishev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrich Slany came out of the goal and Rangel Dishev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vavrinec Koleno during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Slovakia's Vavrinec Koleno got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Metod Mlynar to make the kick off. Oliver Holub's late challenge caught a ФК Фанагория's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oliver Holub helped the player get up and apologised. Spas Gorchilov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Henrich Slany tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gencho Irmanov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Zigmund Maliar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Slovakia getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Kornel Jahoda hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, ФК Фанагория's Viden Vladev tried to score from far away in the 70th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a little luck, ФК Фанагория's Petar Burnazov got control of the ball when Metod Mlynar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vít Biskup hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After 79 played minutes, ФК Фанагория's Viden Vladev shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Henrich Slany came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ФК Фанагория reached it. Henrich Slany showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kostadin Punev in the 86th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Kostadin Punev managed to get in a good position for a shot. ФК Фанагория's supporters rose to their feet, but Kostadin Punev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrich Slany breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pavol Koleno got free with Petar Burnazov in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
