After 3 played minutes ФК Фанагория got a freekick which was hit by Tzonyo Notov. Petar Burnazov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuele Kunz, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kostadin Punev in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hias Nüssli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Spas Gorchilov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute, Rodrigo von Känel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Switzerland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Switzerland getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Jacinto Maurer hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tzonyo Notov during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Petar Burnazov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuele Kunz in the 23rd minute of play. Petar Burnazov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Maurer, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Samuele Kunz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Petar Burnazov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute Jacinto Maurer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petar Burnazov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the ФК Фанагория defense, Samuele Kunz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Petar Burnazov. The ФК Фанагория fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Petar Burnazov should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd match minute, Switzerland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuele Kunz to maneuver through the defense. If Samuele Kunz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Samuele Kunz made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Switzerland's Jacinto Maurer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Petar Burnazov. That made the score 0-4 after 51 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Samuele Kunz got free with Petar Burnazov in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jacinto Maurer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Switzerland's Hias Nüssli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Spas Gorchilov in the 59th minute of play. Rangel Dishev's late challenge caught a Switzerland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rangel Dishev helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th match minute, ФК Фанагория was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rangel Dishev to maneuver through the defense. When Neycho Kalinkov fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ФК Фанагория's protests and gave Neycho Kalinkov a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Switzerland booed when ФК Фанагория was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neycho Kalinkov didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kostadin Punev in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hias Nüssli saved Switzerland from getting behind. Rodrigo von Känel hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 72nd play minute Jacinto Maurer came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Petar Burnazov. 0-6. If Samuele Kunz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Spas Gorchilov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hias Nüssli having to interfere. The supporters of ФК Фанагория booed when Switzerland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Maurer didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kostadin Punev in the 83rd minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Hias Nüssli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacinto Maurer got free with Petar Burnazov in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 89 minutes into the match, ФК Фанагория's goalkeeper Petar Burnazov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacinto Maurer. If Jacinto Maurer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Switzerland's zone, Gencho Irmanov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hias Nüssli came out of the goal and Gencho Irmanov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Switzerland left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ФК Фанагория.
