The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cihat Ecemiş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Büyükçekmece FC.'s Cihat Ecemiş. Cihat Ecemiş was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bishop Fazey's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Arnout Reekers firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cihat Ecemiş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Meesters in the 9th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rahim Niğdeli, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 15th play minute Bishop Fazey came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Arnout Reekers. 1-1. 19 minutes into the match, Büyükçekmece FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Cihat Ecemiş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Wim Wilmes put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Cihat Ecemiş. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 22nd minute of play forced Büyükçekmece FC.'s goalkeeper Cihat Ecemiş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the game, David Eikelkamp cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Cihat Ecemiş was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. David Eikelkamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Cihat Ecemiş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cihat Ecemiş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Netherlands's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sergio Hug was slow to take the kick. During this time Büyükçekmece FC.'s players had a chance to rest. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rahim Niğdeli got free with Arnout Reekers in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cihat Ecemiş came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Lars Meesters. But to his dismay, Lars Meesters quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-5 lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Cihat Ecemiş in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 56 minutes into the match, Bishop Fazey notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 59 minutes in the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cihat Ecemiş having to interfere. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, Büyükçekmece FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lars Meesters came free, but Cihat Ecemiş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Büyükçekmece FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Cihat Ecemiş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Cihat Ecemiş made a huge save. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rahim Niğdeli in the 74th minute of the match. Cihat Ecemiş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 80 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt made it 2-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cihat Ecemiş was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 82nd minute, Rahim Niğdeli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Rahim Niğdeli came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 minutes Büyükçekmece FC.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. 92 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Rahim Niğdeli came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cihat Ecemiş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
