In the 83rd minute Sergio Agüero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Estavan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Newell´s's Indiana Turban nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Newell´s's Tadeo Jakobe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luís Fabiano Meireles. That made the score 2-3 after 93 minutes of play. The Becos e Vielas FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Newell´s were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
