Maurits Vesterherup came out and tried to block the shot, but Mauricio Ekaitz slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 18th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Maurits Vesterherup successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Maurits Vesterherup stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mauricio Ekaitz's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. The supporters of Hermosillo FC booed when Monks in Robes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rikki Oemann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauricio Ekaitz struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Maurits Vesterherup didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hermosillo FC. Mauricio Ekaitzs short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Maurits Vesterherup to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 39th minute Mauricio Ekaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurits Vesterherup saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mauricio Ekaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Monks in Robes's Maurits Vesterherup proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Monks in Robes from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Mauricio Ekaitz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Maurits Vesterherup. That made the score 3-0 in the 45 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauricio Ekaitz to make the kick off. Maurits Vesterherup was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mauricio Ekaitz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maurits Vesterherup having to make a save. Maurits Vesterherup showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Ekaitz in the 92nd minute of the match. Maurits Vesterherup showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Ekaitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Hermosillo FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
