Jailson Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baba Moco, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. After some careless play in the AVAÍ F.C. defense, Baba Moco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jailson Teles. The AVAÍ F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jailson Teles should have stopped the shot. Baba Moco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Jailson Teles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the game, UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C's Baba Moco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jailson Teles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After 17 played minutes UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C got a freekick which was hit by Flavinho Sousa. Edu Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C's Baba Moco got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Baba Moco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Baba Moco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jailson Teles was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 37th minute Walmyr Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimir Prestes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dario Alegría in the 40th minute. In the 43rd minute, Manfredo Gerber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baba Moco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Baba Moco took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Jailson Teles to make any attempt to save it. Vladimir Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr Salles in the 60th minute of the match. In the 74th match minute, AVAÍ F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfredo Gerber to maneuver through the defense. Vladimir Prestes came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by AVAÍ F.C.'s Walmyr Salles. But to his dismay, Walmyr Salles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. After 92 played minutes AVAÍ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Manfredo Gerber. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
