In the 10th minute Ron Migneault shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Tarada defense, Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henrick Zeier. The Tarada fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henrick Zeier should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adam Wielowiejski got free with Arnout Reekers in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Wielowiejski, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stian Aarflot in the 33rd minute of the match. If Lars Meesters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stian Aarflot in the 38th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Tarada's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Henrick Zeier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute of the match, Stian Aarflot tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arnout Reekers saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ron Migneault in the 47th minute of the match.

Tarada made a substitution. Florian Walther replaced Piotrek Zielinski. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. Henrick Zeier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henrick Zeier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Netherlands supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Netherlands would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
