Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Raul Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renato Candal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Kees Mooiweer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Renato Candal quite easily take care of the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Candal having to interfere. After having played for 22 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Leal in the 27th minute of play. In the 28thth minute of the game Gustaaf Groeneveldt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Freiburg 09's Renato Candal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 30 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 09's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Renato Candal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Renato Candal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 33rd minute of play. The throw-in from Kees Mooiweer in the 35th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by SC Freiburg 09's Mehmet Ferit İsmet. In the 39th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renato Candal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Renato Candal. SC Freiburg 09's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustaaf Groeneveldt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Renato Candal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 44th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raul Leal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, SC Freiburg 09's Renato Candal got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Renato Candal could save by the left post. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renato Candal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Renato Candal in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Renato Candal firmly grabbed it by the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Renato Candal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 76th minute. The corner led Netherlands's Lars Meesters to fire away a dangerous shot which Renato Candal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raul Leal in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. Raul Leal might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnout Reekers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raul Leal ran back to his position shaking his head. When Mehmet Ferit İsmet fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Freiburg 09's protests and gave Mehmet Ferit İsmet a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th minute, Mehmet Ferit İsmet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caio Sampaio hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
