Germany's Albin Holweck got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th match minute, Bahrtys Talanger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mustafa Ali Tunçaslan to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfons Lövgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew the final whistle, Bahrtys Talanger could leave the field as winners, despite Germany having more of the ball for most of the match.
