In the 9th minute, Egbert Nijveldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After taking down the ball on Rönnöfors FF's corner Per Stenberg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arnout Reekers quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Magne Gunnarsson saved Rönnöfors FF from getting behind. In the 18th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magne Gunnarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wim Wilmes in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Magne Gunnarsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Wim Wilmes sped through Rönnöfors FF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Magne Gunnarsson. The Netherlands fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 35th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Magne Gunnarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 38th minute of play. In the 39thth minute of the game Gijsbert ter Kruimer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rönnöfors FF's Magne Gunnarsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 41st minute of play forced Rönnöfors FF's goalkeeper Magne Gunnarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torsten Åman hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Magne Gunnarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute of the match, Per Tunström got a very nice opportunity to score, but Arnout Reekers was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 47 minutes into the match, Rönnöfors FF's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Magne Gunnarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Rönnöfors FF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. Lars Meesters scored 0-5 in the 49th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Magne Gunnarsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Rönnöfors FF's Magne Gunnarsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Rönnöfors FF from getting a goal against them. In the 61st match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wim Wilmes to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 89 minutes, Per Stenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rönnöfors FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Per Stenberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Magne Gunnarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Meesters in the 91st minute of the match. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Fagerberg in the 96th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per Stenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Netherlands played a much better game than Rönnöfors FF and deserved their victory. The Rönnöfors FF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
