Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edward Vanderstraeten in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Baptista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 26 minutes ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edward Vanderstraeten who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Belgium's corner Edward Vanderstraeten fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Carlos Baptista quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, Belgium's Casper Claes got control of the ball when Ersen Bumba tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Baptista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Baskın Acem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Casper Claes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's goalkeeper Carlos Baptista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edward Vanderstraeten in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Baptista saved ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ from getting behind. Carlos Baptista didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edward Vanderstraeten went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 48th match minute, ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ayvaz Tanay to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ersen Bumba was the one to do the kick off. After 55 played minutes Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Lenny Clocheret. Casper Claes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ersen Bumba went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Edward Vanderstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the match, Belgium's Yves Dervaux sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Baptista narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Ersen Bumba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ersen Bumba in the 75th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
