Vardi JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kalmer Lips was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roomet Mari during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 21 minutes into the match, Kalmer Lips dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ilija Skugor, 1-0. Toni Mauzer took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Keijo Heiberg. Croatia's Ilija Skugor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Argo Aug in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd match minute, Croatia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Bosak to maneuver through the defense. Kalmer Lips fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilija Skugor having to interfere. Croatia's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
