Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sandro Galishoff took the kick off in the first half of the match. Nico Waismann made in the 4th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Lugano's Tade Zeller. Marc Kronecker made in the 6th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jonas Nalder. Fabio Schneider received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Guido Emennegger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nico Waismann made in the 15th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Lugano's Tade Zeller. When Fabio Schneider came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Austria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Schneider couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute, Austria's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Florian Diederich fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. FC Lugano's Tade Zeller quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nico Waismann, made in the 29th minute of the game. After 30 played minutes FC Lugano got a freekick which was hit by Dieter Gärtner. Guido Emennegger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sandro Galishoff went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 40th match minute, FC Lugano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Odysseus De Souza to maneuver through the defense. A throw-in in the 47th minute of the game was made by Nico Waismann with Jonas Nalder as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Florian Diederich was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Sandro Galishoff made a precise shot to the right of Guido Emennegger. FC Lugano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. FC Lugano's Tade Zeller managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Nico Waismann in the 55 minute of the game. Fabio Schneider could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Guido Emennegger made a huge save. Fabio Schneider recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Palluzzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Auer having to interfere. Guido Emennegger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandro Galishoff in the 64th minute. 67 minutes into the match, FC Lugano's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Nalder came free, but Guido Emennegger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guido Emennegger was a little too slow when Marvin Harrer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 0-4. FC Lugano's Guido Emennegger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Schneider in the 73rd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Emil Seidler in the 76th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Lugano's Claus Pratter. Marc Kronecker made in the 86th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jonas Nalder. Tade Zeller kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Emil Seidler made in the 90th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Lugano's Claus Pratter. FC Lugano's Claus Pratter quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Emil Seidler, made in the 91st minute of the game. After 94 minutes, Marc Kronecker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Austria and the FC Lugano players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marc Kronecker hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The Austria players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
