The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Valentin Voicu kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. A hard shot 7 in the game by Sami Zübeyr from a close distance when the talented Leontin Omescu managed to make a qualified save. PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM-'s players were relieved. With his leg Leontin Omescu managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when FC Maci -MM-'s Sami Zübeyr fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 13 minutes into the match, FC Maci -MM-'s Sami Zübeyr sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leontin Omescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tristan Falco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Torouţ in the 15th minute of play. Leontin Omescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sami Zübeyr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 minutes, Jeremy Wenderickx made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC Maci -MM-'s Tristan Falco tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rd minute, Sami Zübeyr reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leontin Omescu. The goal made the score 1-1. Sami Zübeyr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Leontin Omescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sami Zübeyr in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Jeremy Wenderickx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sami Zübeyr received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Leontin Omescu came out and tried to block the shot, but Sami Zübeyr slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sami Zübeyr in the 35th minute of play forced PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Leontin Omescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sami Zübeyr made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Sami Zübeyr's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leontin Omescu was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Tristan Falco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremy Wenderickx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute of the match, Flavius Stoleru got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tristan Falco was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sami Zübeyr in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leontin Omescu saved PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM- from getting behind. Leontin Omescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sami Zübeyr in the 59th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Leontin Omescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner led FC Maci -MM-'s Rudolf Dombi to fire away a dangerous shot which Leontin Omescu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 68th minute, Sami Zübeyr made a precise shot to the right of Leontin Omescu. PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. FC Maci -MM-'s Felix Lucaci was substituted for Dieter Nisipeanu. The throw-in from Flavius Stoleru in the 74th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Maci -MM-'s Emanuel Lasker. Tristan Falco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Traian Torouţ, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM- booed when FC Maci -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Lucaci didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th match minute, PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Dopacio to maneuver through the defense. Jeremy Wenderickx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tristan Falco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Traian Torouţ, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Igor Czapski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute, Sabin Miclauș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Maci -MM-'s Anatoly Karpov was substituted for Igor Czapski. The supporters of PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM- booed when FC Maci -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sabin Miclauș didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Pompiliu Pătrășcanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Maci -MM- the free kick. After 95 played minutes PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Pompiliu Pătrășcanu. When the referee blew the final whistle, FC Maci -MM- could leave the field as winners, despite PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM- having more of the ball for most of the match.
