When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Sorin Hurdubețiu sped through PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM-'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leontin Omescu. Sorin Hurdubețiu might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leontin Omescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sorin Hurdubețiu ran back to his position shaking his head. Leontin Omescu made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Mădălin Cangeopol sent off a good shot on target. Sorin Hurdubețiu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leontin Omescu having to make a save. PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM-'s Leontin Omescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sorin Hurdubețiu in the 11th minute of play. Claudiu Fecioru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Leontin Omescu made a huge save. When PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM-'s Traian Torouţ in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 36th minute Jeremy Wenderickx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panait Vâtcu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Leontin Omescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sorin Hurdubețiu. 37 minutes into the match, Sorin Hurdubețiu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Leontin Omescu, 2-1. Jeremy Wenderickx didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jeremy Wenderickx made the kick off in the second half. Panait Vâtcu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Traian Torouţ, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Panait Vâtcu was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Jeremy Wenderickx capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jeremy Wenderickx really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mădălin Cangeopol in the 61st minute of play forced PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Leontin Omescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Panait Vâtcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Torouţ in the 62nd minute of play. 69 minutes in the game Domingos Valentim did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Joel Dopacio. In the 73rd minute, Heintje Gamarra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Traian Torouţ in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Panait Vâtcu saved Tractorul Satulung -MM- from getting behind. If Sorin Hurdubețiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tractorul Satulung -MM- fans cheered their team off the field, for while PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM- had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
