In the 2nd match minute, FC PIETROSUL -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sever Crăiniceanu to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dragoş Cazacu in the 4th minute of play forced FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s goalkeeper Ionică Bădilescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fryderyk Witwicki scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ionică Bădilescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Dragoş Cazacu in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Rosendo Seguinus made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Aurel Teodoroiu sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Ciprian Sângeorzan got a free kick in the 35th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Aurel Teodoroiu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rosendo Seguinus. That made the score 1-1 in the 38 minute of play. Aurelian Odobescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rosendo Seguinus having to interfere. Rosendo Seguinus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viorel Iacobescu's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Ionică Bădilescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Zgrăbunţa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Ciprian Halipa was substituted for Viorel Iacobescu. The wind increased when Cristi Ciprian made the kick off in the second half. Rosendo Seguinus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristi Ciprian in the 55th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Cristi Ciprian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Seguinus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Cristi Ciprian got a free kick in the 60th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fryderyk Witwicki got free with Ionică Bădilescu in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rosendo Seguinus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Ştoia in the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciprian Halipa in the 67th minute of play forced ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Rosendo Seguinus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Costin Pupăzan was substituted for Filip Braia. FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ferdinand Vrejiu in the 69th minute. The corner ended in Ferdinand Vrejiu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Rosendo Seguinus did a great save. In the 76th match minute, FC PIETROSUL -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinand Vrejiu to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to ASF BAIA MARE -MM- getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Remus Cazan hit a great ball. In the 86th minute Cristi Ciprian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Seguinus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristi Ciprian in the 87th minute of play forced ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Rosendo Seguinus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Rosendo Seguinus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristi Ciprian in the 91st minute of play. In the 96th minute Emil Ştoia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Seguinus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
