Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antal Valentin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roger Klemensson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antal Valentin went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Sverker Vik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roger Klemensson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 16th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Klemensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Antal Valentin notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Samurai's Roger Klemensson. Roger Klemensson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 25th match minute, Samurai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo Svanström to maneuver through the defense. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Takacs Tibor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Major Barna struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Roger Klemensson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. In the 35th minute, Major Barna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Hungary booed when Samurai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Kalfhage didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balazs Lajos in the 37th minute of play forced Samurai's goalkeeper Roger Klemensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Takacs Tibor came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Takacs Tibor couldn't finish the play. Antal Valentin scored 0-3 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roger Klemensson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mattias Smefeldt to make the kick off. In the 60th minute, Balazs Lajos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roger Klemensson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Major Barna in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Roger Klemensson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Roger Klemensson made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. Erland Nässén kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. With his leg Roger Klemensson managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Hungary's Major Barna fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Samurai's zone, Major Barna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Klemensson came out of the goal and Major Barna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Antal Valentin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Klemensson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 80 minutes into the game, Takacs Tibor cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Roger Klemensson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Hungary's Balazs Lajos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roger Klemensson. That made the score 0-7 after 84 minutes of play. Major Barna struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Roger Klemensson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Roger Klemensson was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Antal Valentin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Antal Valentin really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. In the 93rd minute, Balazs Lajos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Roger Klemensson. The goal made the score 0-9. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Klemensson having to interfere.
