If Alan Rezek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Frölundaboys getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Bertil Zachrisson hit a great ball. Claes Stenström came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Czech Republic's Denis Dostal. But to his dismay, Denis Dostal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Vavrinec Holub made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Elg in the 26th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Denis Dostal. If Linus Moberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Linus Moberg to make the kick off.
