Ömer Demirci took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Ömer Demirci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Portugal's Bruno Bastos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fiori Britto in the 44 minute of the game. In the 45th match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Andrade to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ömer Demirci to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Ömer Demirci came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felipe Barreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ made a huge save. Şemsettin Tuyuğ showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Viriato Moura succeeded in the game's 57th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ömer Demirci blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Amorim having to make a save. 65 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Ömer Demirci came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3.
