Dale Gracey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 11th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Rick Quinane had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rick Quinane was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abelardo Hustaz got free with Tommy Kahn in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disco Inferno FC's Peter Rosenboom got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Chris Mergenthaler hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Ike Pears stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Ike Pears tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 30 played minutes Disco Inferno FC got a freekick which was hit by Peter Rosenboom. With an all-out effort, Disco Inferno FC's Tommy Kahn threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abelardo Hustaz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 37 minutes into the match, Disco Inferno FC's Aaron Mcmurchie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Disco Inferno FC booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albin Holweck didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Ike Pears scored 2-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 61st play minutes Abelardo Hustaz shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Tommy Kahn and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 75th minute, Peter Rosenboom made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. The Disco Inferno FC fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Disco Inferno FC's Abelardo Hustaz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Rosenboom in the 83rd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Aaron Mcmurchie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Aaron Mcmurchie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frank Sachs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Dale Gracey made a huge save. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Hustaz in the 96th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disco Inferno FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
