A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Willy Stieler hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Frank Sachs made the kick off in the second half. Albin Holweck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute.
