Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Kasım Okanalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Netherlands's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Laerte Marquez scored to the left of an out of position Arnout Reekers, making the score, 1-0. In the 15th minute, Niğdespor's Laerte Marquez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Kasım Okanalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Niğdespor's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Kasım Okanalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olgun Arabacı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laerte Marquez in the 33rd minute. The supporters of Niğdespor booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gijsbert ter Kruimer didn't get a good kick on the ball. The wind increased when Olgun Arabacı made the kick off in the second half. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olgun Arabacı in the 50th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the game, Gust Ennemans threw the ball into play from the sideline. Niğdespor's Hikmet Andaç quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 56th minute Lars Meesters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kasım Okanalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
