Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nunez Hernando was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. After having played for 75 minutes, Paulo Renato Bittencourt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cacciola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Renato Bittencourt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Cacciola's Octavian Humă got a free kick in the 77th minute. Fulvio Serafini kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ivan Vlaykovski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Germany's Albin Holweck got a free kick in the 94th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cacciola had won after a very even match.
