Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) LOI's Sulo Montaña started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A hard shot 4 in the game by Sulo Montaña from a close distance when the talented Flavio Vittori managed to make a qualified save. Italy's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 12th minute of play forced LOI's goalkeeper George Buturugã to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Vittori made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After some careless play in the LOI defense, Zaccheo Andolina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of George Buturugã. The LOI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that George Buturugã should have stopped the shot. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Hamdi Ortan in the 42nd minute of the match.

The wind increased when Zaccheo Andolina made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by LOI's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sigfrido Auletta was slow to take the kick. During this time Italy's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Eliseo Cutri managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Italy's Zaccheo Andolina got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zaccheo Andolina in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of George Buturugã, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
