Denmark's Olav Graversen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cemil Dalokay in the 6 minute of the game. In the 8th minute, Chris Nygaard made a precise shot to the right of Seçkin Eroğul. SOMINECO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Ali Numan Dilazad's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Seçkin Eroğul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seçkin Eroğul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Seçkin Eroğul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 18th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the game, Chris Nygaard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Seçkin Eroğul was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chris Nygaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Seçkin Eroğul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Bendtsen to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to SOMINECO getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Ali Numan Dilazad hit a great ball. Bertram Svenningsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Seçkin Eroğul read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SOMINECO's zone, Chris Nygaard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Seçkin Eroğul came out of the goal and Chris Nygaard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Bertram Svenningsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Denmark's Keld Paulsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Denmark from getting a goal against them. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by SOMINECO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Chris Nygaard was slow to take the kick. During this time Denmark's players had a chance to rest. After the first half Denmark were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baykal Acabey to make the kick off. Chris Nygaard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, SOMINECO's Seçkin Eroğul got control of the ball when Chris Nygaard tried to sneak it across the goal line. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baykal Acabey in the 60th minute of play. Seçkin Eroğul was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Chris Nygaard showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 96 minute of play. Denmark played a much better game than SOMINECO and deserved their victory. The SOMINECO players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
