The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 24th match minute, EK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sevdalin Ovcharov to maneuver through the defense. Denimir Bebin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by İlbey Denizalp in the 31st minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, EK's Sevdalin Ovcharov got a free kick in the 39th minute. Cido Fernandezs short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Tommy Kahn to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and İlbey Denizalp made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Cido Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot. EK's supporters rose to their feet, but Cido Fernandez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sevdalin Ovcharov in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute İlbey Denizalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, EK's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Denimir Bebin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 90th minute of the match Adrian Dreifuss completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Adrian Dreifuss a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 91st minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cido Fernandez took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Germany players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for EK.
