In the 34th minute Porziano Marchitelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Vachon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 minutes Manfredi AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sigfrido Auletta who took care of the corner kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zaccheo Andolina was the one to do the kick off. Italy's Eliseo Cutri quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Steffen Krummwiede, made in the 51st minute of the game. A collision led to Manfredi AFC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play.
