Mikael Sjögren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Billy Sundberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. 23 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Tolsson came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikael Sjögren having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a precise shot to the right of Mikael Sjögren. Boomerang Bombers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Boomerang Bombers's Mikael Sjögren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 33rd minute of play. Netherlands's Lars Meesters got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. After having played for 44 minutes, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim Wilmes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Boomerang Bombers fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 54 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Boomerang Bombers's Mikael Sjögren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Boomerang Bombers from getting a goal against them. Mikael Sjögren came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt. But to his dismay, Gustaaf Groeneveldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. 70 minutes into the match, Henry Tolsson notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Boomerang Bombers booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Meesters didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Mikael Sjögren made a huge save. In the 81st minute Lars Meesters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikael Sjögren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Mikael Sjögren threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wim Wilmes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Boomerang Bombers booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Eikelkamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Netherlands's David Eikelkamp was, in the 85th minute, rewarded a free kick which he blasted straight towards the goal. The goalkeeper seemed frozen by the shot, but didn't have to make a save as the ball went outside of the right post. Boomerang Bombers's Mikael Sjögren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Boomerang Bombers from getting a goal against them. In the 91st minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mikael Sjögren was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 92nd match minute, Boomerang Bombers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörn Hellsing to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Boomerang Bombers.
