Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zaccheo Andolina started the match with the kick off. With a little luck, Italy's Flavio Vittori got control of the ball when Richard Fredriksson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Deodato Magliozzi made in the 12th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Porziano Marchitelli immediately put the ball in play. If Porziano Marchitelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toni Schumacher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 16th minute of the match. Zaccheo Andolina took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Toni Schumacher. Toni Schumacher dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Fredriksson in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, FC Bullen's goal looked a bit too open when Sigfrido Auletta came free, but Toni Schumacher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Richard Fredriksson got free with Flavio Vittori in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tord Hökkvist hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Toni Schumacher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Richard Fredriksson was the one to do the kick off. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Pååk in the 55th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Fredriksson came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Richard Fredriksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 67 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Fredriksson came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 71 minutes, Zaccheo Andolina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Italy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zaccheo Andolina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC Bullen made a substitution. Andy Beckman replaced Gustavo Lopes. Andy Beckman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Vittori having to interfere. Italy made a substitution. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Adriano Curto took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Toni Schumacher to make any attempt to save it. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Bullen's goalkeeper Toni Schumacher, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 91 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Hellström came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute Adriano Curto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toni Schumacher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Bullen's zone, Adriano Curto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toni Schumacher came out of the goal and Adriano Curto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Italy played a much better game than FC Bullen and deserved their victory. The FC Bullen players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
