The audience thought a goal was coming when Marian Warka got free with Tommy Kahn in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 28 played minutes Brunatni Bełchatów got a freekick which was hit by Antoni Gizynski. Brunatni Bełchatów's Sonny Ahlerot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 30th minute of play. Sonny Ahlerot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albin Holweck in the 35th minute of the match. When Antoni Gizynski fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brunatni Bełchatów's protests and gave Antoni Gizynski a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd match minute, Brunatni Bełchatów was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antoni Gizynski to maneuver through the defense.
