The ball went over the crossbar instead. Montrell Harrell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Délio Toledo in the 18th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the last second Wilson Amorim throw himself and got hold of the ball when Teobald Korytkowski in the 20thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Sportivo Ben Hur were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Portugal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Teobald Korytkowski took the corner. Montrell Harrell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 26th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Sportivo Ben Hur's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Montrell Harrell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Montrell Harrell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felipe Barreto went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Sportivo Ben Hur's Montrell Harrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 37th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Felipe Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Barreto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Montrell Harrell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 45 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Bastos.

Sportivo Ben Hur's Daniel Constancio was substituted for Teobald Korytkowski. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Viriato Moura was the one to do the kick off. Montrell Harrell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 56th minute of the match. Montrell Harrell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felipe Barreto went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After 62 played minutes Sportivo Ben Hur got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Hagi. 65 minutes into the game, Sportivo Ben Hur's Daniel Constancio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The supporters of Portugal booed when Sportivo Ben Hur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Hori didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Hagi took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2.
