Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Murilo Fernandes started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Estevão Lemos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 10th minute of play forced mar-azul's goalkeeper Estevão Lemos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 11 minutes mar-azul's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Netherlands's Lars Meesters getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 17th minute of play forced mar-azul's goalkeeper Estevão Lemos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th match minute, mar-azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saúl Lage to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, mar-azul's goalkeeper Estevão Lemos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. 64 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Estevão Lemos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 65 minutes mar-azul's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. At last the ball reached Egbert Nijveldt at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of mar-azul. 1-5. Estevão Lemos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. David Eikelkamp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Estevão Lemos made a huge save. In the 93rd match minute, mar-azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saúl Lage to maneuver through the defense. The mar-azul fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
