In the 4th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aníbal Lorenzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the The Team FC defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aníbal Lorenzi. The The Team FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aníbal Lorenzi should have stopped the shot. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otis Short, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Team FC's Aníbal Lorenzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 12th minute of play. Aníbal Lorenzi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Aníbal Lorenzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 13th minute of the match. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Team FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. Aníbal Lorenzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aníbal Lorenzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Aníbal Lorenzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 26th minute of the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cao Shi Yi. Aníbal Lorenzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. The Team FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aníbal Lorenzi having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Cao Shi Yi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arnout Reekers, 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cao Shi Yi in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Reekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free with the goalkeeper in the 51st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aníbal Lorenzi could save by the left post. 53 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Cao Shi Yi came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aníbal Lorenzi came out and tried to block the shot, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 55th minute. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cao Shi Yi in the 59th minute of play. After 66 minutes The Team FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer to fire away a dangerous shot which Aníbal Lorenzi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The Team FC's Baykan İnanoğlu was substituted for Krisztián Újfalussy. Egbert Nijveldt kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute of the match Raul Bowen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnout Reekers skillfully saved the ball. In the 70th minute, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aníbal Lorenzi. Aníbal Lorenzi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. The Team FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Raul Bowen in the 79th minute. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shelton Flanagan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aníbal Lorenzi made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. When Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye The Team FC's goalie prevented a goal. 87 minutes into the game, Cao Shi Yi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 90 played minutes The Team FC got a freekick which was hit by Guy Baxter. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aníbal Lorenzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 93 minutes into the game, Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aníbal Lorenzi. Gijsbert ter Kruimer showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-4. The The Team FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Netherlands's performance. The match ended with a win for Netherlands.
