Vytautas Baikštys's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Max Limont came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugal's Viriato Moura. But to his dismay, Viriato Moura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 30th match minute, Hexo Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mar Cheze to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Hexo Utd getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Miglius Simonaitis hit a great ball. Max Limont showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 31st minute of the match. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mar Cheze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 40th minute of play forced Hexo Utd's goalkeeper Max Limont to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe Barreto took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Max Limont. Max Limont dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Raul Caetano was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 42 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the game, one of Portugal:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 44 minutes, Hexo Utd's Silviu Dascălu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Wilson Amorim. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mar Cheze made a kick off. Max Limont stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viriato Moura's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Viriato Moura blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Max Limont having to make a save. After 59 played minutes Hexo Utd got a freekick which was hit by Gražvydas Drąsutis. Hexo Utd's Jarūnas Saponka was substituted for Jacek Bara. Gražvydas Drąsutis kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Max Limont took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hexo Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Brandão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Max Limont was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hexo Utd's Jamie Carragher was substituted for Anders Stenström. In the 84th minute, one of Portugal:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Portugal. The audience was convinced that Bartolomeu Dias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Max Limont was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hexo Utd fully deserved thier win.
