With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Waldir Urbano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. In the 30th minute, Facundo Quiroga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Waldir Urbano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tasso FC's Edward Bubczyk suffered a sore thigh after 37 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Malte Schiele's late challenge caught a Tasso FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Malte Schiele helped the player get up and apologised. Tasso FC's Normando Fiúza was substituted for Edward Bubczyk. After 38 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Malte Schiele. In the 43rd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Krakouer to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Tasso FC's Juca Tasso got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Waldir Urbano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Juca Tasso kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with Silverio Corderun in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 66 played minutes Tasso FC got a freekick which was hit by Severi Nybacka. Waldir Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tasso FC's Diego Antunes was substituted for Juca Tasso. Silverio Corderun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albin Holweck in the 79th minute of the match. Waldir Urbano might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Waldir Urbano ran back to his position shaking his head. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldir Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldir Urbano in the 88th minute of play. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 90th minute, Miguel Sequeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
