After having played for 4 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Lennard Rossmanith sent off a good shot on target. Prospero Goethe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 16 minutes into the game, Ingemar Mense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Friesenwerdermoor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. Ingemar Mense hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Wim Wilmes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Prospero Goethe having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 24th minute of play forced Friesenwerdermoor's goalkeeper Prospero Goethe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Friesenwerdermoor's Prospero Goethe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 36th minute of play. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the game, Jamal Roye recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arnout Reekers. Jamal Roye showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. The Friesenwerdermoor players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Netherlands were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jamal Roye stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lennard Rossmanith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bas Tuitert to maneuver through the defense. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jamal Roye, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute of the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Prospero Goethe saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Artur Schade hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. A collision led to Friesenwerdermoor getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Artur Schade hit a great ball. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Friesenwerdermoor's goalkeeper Prospero Goethe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Ingemar Mense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 82nd minute. Netherlands's Lars Meesters was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Prospero Goethe in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 84th match minute, Friesenwerdermoor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pekin Energin to maneuver through the defense. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
