A collision led to Dragões de Campo Grande getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Gandalf Bilbo hit a great ball. In the 8th minute, Chris Nygaard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardinho Moreira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Kauan Messias made in the 13th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Denmark's Theis Winther. Denmark's Simon Bendtsen suffered a sore thigh after 19 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Vianna during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Denmark booed when Dragões de Campo Grande was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardinho Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Nico Dias hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute of the match Lars Steen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardinho Moreira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Denmark booed when Dragões de Campo Grande was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gandalf Bilbo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Dragões de Campo Grande's Kauan Messias got a free kick in the 40th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Kauan Messias in the 42nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Denmark's Theis Winther. After 47 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Olav Graversen. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Osvaldo Miranda made in the 52nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Denmark's Lars Steen. Ricardinho Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Steen in the 53rd minute of play. A collision led to Dragões de Campo Grande getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Carlos Fernando Pinheiro hit a great ball. In the 60th minute Lars Steen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardinho Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chris Nygaard took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardinho Moreira. Ricardinho Moreira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 67th minute, Denmark's Chris Nygaard dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Steen in the 72nd minute of play forced Dragões de Campo Grande's goalkeeper Ricardinho Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Mathias Ludvigsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 75 minutes, Mané Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dragões de Campo Grande's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mané Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chris Nygaard succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 78th playminute. After 81 played minutes Dragões de Campo Grande got a freekick which was hit by Kauan Messias. Chris Nygaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardinho Moreira having to interfere. Kauan Messias made in the 84th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Denmark's Theis Winther. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Gandalf Bilbo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dragões de Campo Grande's supporters rose to their feet, but Gandalf Bilbo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keld Paulsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 87 minutes into the game, Olav Graversen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ricardinho Moreira. Olav Graversen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Dragões de Campo Grande's Ricardinho Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 92nd minute of play. Denmark played a much better game than Dragões de Campo Grande and deserved their victory. The Dragões de Campo Grande players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
