The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Alberto Cresencio made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Angelino Quexal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Angelino Quexal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. With an all-out effort, Germany's Damián Martínez threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Albin Holweck, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Oberá's Froilan Berriotxoa managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Linus Schwerner in the 61 minute of the game. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Cresencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After a rather tough play, Germany's Willy Stieler got a free kick in the 63rd minute.
