Wellington Montenegro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Balazs Lajos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Fernando Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Wellington Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The supporters of Hungary booed when Joinville Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fernando Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wellington Montenegro came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Hungary's Major Barna. But to his dismay, Major Barna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Joinville Esporte Clube's Wellington Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 74th minute of play. When Major Barna came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Major Barna couldn't finish the play. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Wellington Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Fernando Pena was shown his second yellow card after 79 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Wellington Montenegro in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Montenegro having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Hungary left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Joinville Esporte Clube.
