Atlético Nacional's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felipe Barreto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. A collision led to Atlético Nacional getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Jeroen Roofhoof hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Felipe Barreto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angelo Distiratsu was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Eric Oltean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Eric Oltean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Viriato Moura during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kang Wei Yue recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Atlético Nacional booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Pimentel didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Eric Oltean came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Atlético Nacional fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Oltean couldn't finish the play. When Atlético Nacional's Eliseo Berasko in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viriato Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hao Li Yuan in the 53rd minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, one of Atlético Nacional:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Atlético Nacional. Atlético Nacional:s Angelo Distiratsu showed great skill when he stopped Felipe Barreto:s penalty. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hipolito Beltran in the 75th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Atlético Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Felipinho Amorim came free, but Angelo Distiratsu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hao Li Yuan scored 4-2 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hao Li Yuan hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Portugal's Angelo Distiratsu threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bartolomeu Dias, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 93 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 95th minute, Julian Boni made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. Atlético Nacional walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
