Jean Bombelles hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Inocencio Frichosos short, quick shot in the 4thth minute got Maxime Durand to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacinto Eleazar got free with Maxime Durand in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 9th minute, Godofredo Guifre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jean Bombelles kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in France's zone, Jacinto Eleazar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maxime Durand came out of the goal and Jacinto Eleazar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Punta Alvear's Inocencio Frichoso, in the 14th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Punta Alvear. Venancio Oto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Chapuis in the 18th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Punta Alvear's Inocencio Frichoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maxime Durand narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 30th match minute, France was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Peletier to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, France's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Heriberto came free, but Maxime Durand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34th play minutes Ermegildo Heriberto shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Maxime Durand and just under the crossbar into goal. Venancio Oto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Chapuis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Punta Alvear's goal looked a bit too open when Remy Dupuy came free, but Venancio Oto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maxime Durand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermegildo Heriberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Flavio Izel kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

53 minutes into the game, France's Camille Baume nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Venancio Oto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 56 minutes into the game, Punta Alvear's Ermegildo Heriberto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maxime Durand made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 60 minutes into the match, Ermegildo Heriberto notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of France's Maxime Durand. Maxime Durand was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Ermegildo Heriberto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maxime Durand was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Maxime Durand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inocencio Frichoso in the 67th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, France's goal looked a bit too open when Inocencio Frichoso came free, but Maxime Durand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 82 minutes of play, Punta Alvear's Ermegildo Heriberto made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maxime Durand was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 86 minutes, Camille Baume mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the France and the Punta Alvear players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to France getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Camille Baume hit a great ball. Inocencio Frichoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maxime Durand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inocencio Frichoso in the 89th minute of play. Venancio Oto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Camille Baume went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. For all the effort they put into the match, the France players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Punta Alvear.
