Kléber Cavalcante started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute, Frank Peletier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The France fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 9th minute Frank Peletier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. France's Maxime Durand proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save France from getting a goal against them. Tiago Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camille Baume, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Frank Peletier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tiago Godoi was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. In the 20th minute, Vito Travassos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Maxime Durand. The goal made the score 1-1.
