A collision led to River CBBA getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Boğaçhan Akyel hit a great ball. In the 8th minute Omar Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Barovero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Arano Abendano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gabriel Ascaso. The goal made the score 1-0. Juan Funes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Gabriel Ascaso made a huge save. In the 26th minute Enrique Rabellino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Barovero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adria Bielsa struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Marcelo Barovero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spain. Israel Jurado hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Guerau Abeitia got in the 33rd minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Gabriel Ascaso. This was a shot which ended in a score of 2-0. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Gabriel Ascaso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. River CBBA's Marcelo Barovero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Aranda in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, River CBBA's goal looked a bit too open when Jon Cubero came free, but Marcelo Barovero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Spain's Gabriel Ascaso got control of the ball when Endura Abechuco tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juan Funes to strike the kick off in the second half. If Omar Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Ascaso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Funes in the 54th minute of the match. River CBBA's Marcelo Barovero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save River CBBA from getting a goal against them. 57 minutes into the match, Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Endura Abechuco came free, but Gabriel Ascaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Adria Bielsa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 62 minutes, Adria Bielsa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spain's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adria Bielsa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, River CBBA's Marcelo Barovero got control of the ball when Omar Toledo tried to sneak it across the goal line. River CBBA made a substitution. Ponciano Abarca replaced Juan Funes. The corner ended in Adria Bielsa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but River CBBA's Marcelo Barovero did a great save. River CBBA's Marcelo Barovero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save River CBBA from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carles Cherro in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Barovero saved River CBBA from getting behind. Spain were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after River CBBA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jon Cubero took the corner. After 94 minutes, Sergio Ruiz made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. River CBBA's Marcelo Barovero tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Many of Spain's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Spain may have spent more time on the ball, but River CBBA were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
