Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Baldomiro Justin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 6th minute of the match. After 8 played minutes, Yrigoyen.F.C's CJ Klose shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arnout Reekers came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Yrigoyen.F.C reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, CJ Klose stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and CJ Klose tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by CJ Klose in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by CJ Klose in the 28th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Yrigoyen.F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Baldomiro Justin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yrigoyen.F.C's attentive Emilio Millano managed to snatch the ball when Mathijn Doctor made a throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game. Baldomiro Justin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Eikelkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when CJ Klose made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Mahir Uyun came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Eikelkamp got free with Baldomiro Justin in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A throw-in in the 62nd minute of the game was made by Gust Ennemans with Gustaaf Groeneveldt as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The supporters of Yrigoyen.F.C booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bas Tuitert didn't get a good kick on the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Yrigoyen.F.C's goalkeeper Baldomiro Justin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. A collision led to Yrigoyen.F.C getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Luis Chan hit a great ball. In the 70th minute of the match Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baldomiro Justin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The throw-in from Gust Ennemans in the 73rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Yrigoyen.F.C's Emilio Millano. Baldomiro Justin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 75th minute of play. Yrigoyen.F.C's CJ Klose got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yrigoyen.F.C made a substitution. Diego Milito replaced CJ Klose. 80 minutes into the match, Yrigoyen.F.C's goalkeeper Baldomiro Justin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Aurelio Feliz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 81 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of Yrigoyen.F.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Netherlands:s goal. Baldomiro Justin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 88 minutes into the match, Diego Milito notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 92nd minute of play forced Yrigoyen.F.C's goalkeeper Baldomiro Justin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Yrigoyen.F.C to leave the ground with a draw.
