Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edvard Gråberg started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emerson Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 5 minutes into the game, Hungary's Antal Valentin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emerson Leão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 18th minute, Gildo Donatello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Sao Paulo Leste FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Erasmo Arce hit a great ball. After 23 minutes, Edvard Gråberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sao Paulo Leste FC and the Hungary players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Edvard Gråberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fodor Daniel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edvard Gråberg went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 31 minutes, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antal Valentin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sao Paulo Leste FC's Emerson Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Sao Paulo Leste FC's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Emerson Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celsinho Cerezo. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Leão having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Edvard Gråberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sao Paulo Leste FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edvard Gråberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fodor Daniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celsinho Cerezo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. If David Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Emerson Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emerson Leão guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. When Celsinho Cerezo came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Sao Paulo Leste FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celsinho Cerezo couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute, David Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Major Barna took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Emerson Leão to make any attempt to save it. Hungary played a much better game than Sao Paulo Leste FC and deserved their victory. The Sao Paulo Leste FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
