Ion Dulgherescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. In the 9thth minute of the game Viriato Moura who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dep. Moron's Mihkel Aksalu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Graciano Coutinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Portugal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dep. Moron the free kick. In the 13thth minute of the game Viriato Moura who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dep. Moron's Mihkel Aksalu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Dep. Moron's Anthony Barnes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Wilson Amorim. That made the score 1-1 after 19 minutes of play. Anthony Barnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Portugal booed when Dep. Moron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bob Hart didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anthony Barnes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Pete Matlock fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dep. Moron's protests and gave Pete Matlock a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th match minute, Dep. Moron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pete Matlock to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes into the game, Bruno Bastos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Dep. Moron players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Portugal were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viriato Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nacho Hernández received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Viriato Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihkel Aksalu having to interfere. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nacho Hernández in the 72nd minute of the match. Nacho Hernández scored 3-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 75 minutes into the match, Dep. Moron's goal looked a bit too open when Felipinho Amorim came free, but Mihkel Aksalu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felipinho Amorim really showed his touch with that goal: 3-4. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Felipinho Amorim put it in 3-5 from a short distance just to the right of Mihkel Aksalu. Although Dep. Moron had been in control for most of the match, Portugal still came away with the win.
