The coaching staff of Boomer Fc protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lester Villavicencio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 7th minute, one of Boomer Fc:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Boomer Fc. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Boomer Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xinto Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gumersindo Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 13th minute of the match. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Netherlands reached it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. Gumersindo Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 67th minute of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gumersindo Moreira having to make a save. Boomer Fc made a substitution. Tito Quintas replaced Bebeto Gaúcho. When Tito Quintas came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Boomer Fc fans jumped to their feet.
