The wind increased when Gerardo Beard made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Brooklyn SC booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gust Ennemans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jospeh McNally made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. 87 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jospeh McNally made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Gustaaf Groeneveldt succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 94th playminute. The Brooklyn SC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
