Wilson Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Maurito Boselli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Amorim having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 12th minute of play forced FC Pepe Burrón's goalkeeper Orlando Rivera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 played minutes, Portugal's Felipe Barreto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Orlando Rivera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Portugal reached it. 25 minutes into the match, FC Pepe Burrón's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Moreira came free, but Orlando Rivera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Portugal's Viriato Moura sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Orlando Rivera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to FC Pepe Burrón getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Carlos Galván hit a great ball. Wilson Amorim made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Maurito Boselli sent off a good shot on target. Tiémoué Bakayoko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Amorim having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Pepe Burrón's Leonid Afteni slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Wilson Amorim. That made the score 2-0 after 40 minutes of play. In the 43rd minute of the match, Elizardo Moyua tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wilson Amorim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonid Afteni in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Justino Gotzon in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Amorim saved Portugal from getting behind. Orlando Rivera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Moreira in the 73rd minute of play. In the 77th minute, Justino Gotzon made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. FC Pepe Burrón's Orlando Rivera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipinho Amorim in the 90th minute of play. In the 94th minute Justino Gotzon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orlando Rivera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartolomeu Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Portugal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Pepe Burrón.
